Stop clinging to the past…just stop it. Right now. Follow this almighty quote, “The past is in the past, leave it that way.” Besides there is nothing you can do about it, so why keep letting it bother you. It’s just unneeded stress that you don’t need in your possibly already stressful life.
This has always been a hard one for me to listen to but I’ve been developing some ways to help myself (and hopefully you too) to forgetting the past and live a generally happier life.
- Delete EVERYTHING – If it’s a person that you can’t seem to get off your mind. I personally am a victim of re-reading text messages and other message over and over again. So one way to help this little problem, is too delete EVERYTHING. Text conversations, numbers, facebook messages. Honestly, it may hurt but if they aren’t going to be in your life anymore, then why do you need all that? So stop reading this and delete anything that remind you of them.
- Find a new thing to cling too – Maybe learn a new instrument, or start a sport. Just find something that takes you mind off whatever it is that is bothering you. When my ex left me I started playing guitar and it was the greatest thing to take my mind off it.
- Explore the world, create new memories – Travel world, go sky diving for them first time. Whatever it is you’ve always wanted to do, do it. It’ll create new memories, better memories to push away the bad memories away.
So those are my three tips on how to leave the past in the past. Don’t
Cling to the past, live for now!
